A documentary about the political performance of the singer and composer, who was also Minister of Culture and Secretary of the area in Salvador (BA), had the filming completed. The forecast is for release in 2026.
The film is directed by Diogenes Muniz, author of a documentary about A, and Daniel Mello, who made “USP 7%” about racism at the university.
In production, Gil recalls moments of his life as a public and thinker manager and cites episodes as a clandestine presentation during the military dictatorship and, 30 years later, a UN headquarters, alongside the then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan.
The musician visits emblematic local trajectory, such as the amphitheater of the USP Polytechnic School, where he performed a show during the dictatorship period.
Also displaying unpublished files will be displayed from the artist’s history. The production is by showcase movies and boulevard films, in co -production with Gege Produções, by Gil and his wife, Flora.
