Mayor says that the board will have a deputy of each party and a period of 45 days to present a text on the subject

The president of the Chamber of Deputies, (Republicans-PB), announced on Wednesday (21.MAI.2025) the creation of a working group (WG) to elaborate the administrative reform project.

According to the deputy, the group will have 45 days to present a text and will be formed by a representative of each party with seat in the House.

“This project does not meet a pole or another represented in the house, but to a society that calls for better quality public services”said Motta in the plenary.

The mayor said he wants to vote on the text in the first half of 2025, before the congressional recess, which starts on July 17.

Motta warned on Tuesday (20.MAI) to party leaders about the creation of the WG. According to the congressman, the working group will seek the “Decreased public machine”.

Motta’s predecessor, deputy (PP-AL), had the approval of the tax reform as a legacy in the presidency of the house. The theme had been standing in Congress for 40 years.

The current president has administrative reform as one of the goals before leaving office.
