The top ten clowns in the world of electronic games

Coulrophobia is the name of a very specific phobia :. She usually manifests herself among children from 2 to 7 years old and tends to heal herself, as the child grows up and she realizes that that clown is just a bland adult trying to make money painting her face and not a hidden psychopath. However, there are teenagers and even adults who continue to manifest their fear and I do not take their reason, because it is never known.

As a consequence of leather (or as a cause), various works of fiction bring the clown figure as a disturbing figure, such as the one that subverts the natural order of the universe. It is not possible that they fit so many of them in a single car, this can only be explained through non-cart geometry and impossible angles.

Electronic games are no exception and also serve as a mining for these entities. Some clowns of games just want your happiness. Others is recommended to avoid. We have selected here a list for all tastes, for all audiences and you will probably take a lot of buttons to interact with them. Or escape them.

1) Sweet Tooth (Twisted Metal)

Sweet Tooth

Clown and Ice Cream: There is no way to go wrong. Especially if you add post-apocalyptic future, car battle and extreme violence. Needles Kane or, rather Sweet Tooth, has evolved to become the trademark of the Sony Twisted Metal franchise. His popularity resisted the testing of time and he raised in all his glory and brutality on TV screens, with a live action series, entitled to Captain America’s participation or something. It is the only clown on this list that has achieved this prestige, clearly a victor and therefore deserves to open the selection.

Availability: 10/10

Charisma with children: 5/10

2) Fargus (Pandemonium)

Fargus (and a generic redhead, ignore)

Fargus should have been the real protagonist of the game, but the developers chose to give players a second option: a redhead any dressed in Harlequin. The two together fell into the bullshit of provoking the invocation of a world devouring demon, but no one is perfect. They also received the strange mission of trying to establish 3D gameplay on the first PlayStation, with an emphasis on “trying.” They failed terribly in sales, but not enough to avoid continuation.

Availability: 0/10 (thirty years ago Crystal Dynamics forgot Fargus and the redhead in the basement of her studio)

Charisma with children: 9/10

3) Arkham (Devil May Cry 3)

Malév ... No, it's Arkham, also known as Jester. It is complicated.

Every clown was once a normal man, but few followed this path aiming to become gods. Between being a better father to his daughter and dressing as Disney’s extra, Arkham chose to become Jester. With this stolen look of Malevola, the villain sacrificed his wife to obtain evil powers. Even so, his greatest merit was to put pile between the Dante and Virgil brothers, something they were able to do alone.

Availability: 1/10 (was mentioned in Devil May Cry 5, so there is still a chance)

Charisma with children: -1/10

4) Harle (Chrono Cross)

Harle

Harle is one of the most beloved characters on this list. It’s easy to understand when she is part of one of the most beloved games of all time, but she arrives with her own charm, sometimes working as a comic relief to the team, sometimes revealing bringing an extremely moving passing. It would be impossible to separate Harle from the journey from the game, just as it would be impossible to separate his inner sadness from the playful aspect from his exterior. As a walking contradiction, it remains one of the central springs of the game.

Charisma with children: 8/10

5) Brush (Final Fantasy VI)

Kefka Biblically Accurate

The God of Magic, the Joker, the Clown, the most cursed character, feared and idolized by the Final Fantasy franchise players (perhaps tied with Tidus, but for the wrong reasons). Kefka left her name in the franchise legacy as a frightening presence, an antagonist who makes players tremble with each appearance. Thinks of the joker with the powers of a cosmic entity. No, it’s not you Mxyzptlk, it’s a being with much more style and much more dark. Square-Man tried to wipe him into Dissidia, but the trauma is incurable.

Availability: 5/10 (turned, moved, Square-Man finds a space to fit the character)

Charisma with children: 2/10

6) Nights (Nights)

Nights

He was created for evil, to steal people’s dream. But Nights reversed his evil destination to wander out there. As a punishment, he was trapped in an extremely difficult, albeit visually beautiful game. Childhood were lost trying to free this character from his torment, which means that, in the end, his destination has been fulfilled.

Availability: 8/10 (turned, moved, Sega finds a frila for him to participate)

Charisma with children: 8/10

7) Adam MacIntyre (Dead Rising)

Adam MacIntyre

In case of zombie apocalypse, a clown can still steal a show. Just wield a chainsaw on each hand and juggle with them as you advance toward you. Adam Macintyre is a disturbing view early on Dead Rising and a warning the player that this title is not very serious, is disturbed by ideas and dangerous.

Availability: 5/10 (It’s a universe of zombies, death is not the end)

Charisma with children: 0/10

8) Clown Man (Mega Man 8)

The legitimate clown man: the clown man

Of course there is a clown robot in the Mega Man franchise. Why wouldn’t it? We arrived at the eighth game of the franchise (not counting derivatives). All options have already been used. It was he or the web designer man, but Capcom made his choice. Still, Clown Man gets the feat of destroying even in a universe where bizarre combinations are the tonic of the day. The combination of bland jokes and multicolored look with powerful electric attacks and elastic arms took the joy of many people.

Availability: 0/10 (thirty years that does not appear in a game)

Charisma with children: Seriously this?

9) Lola Pop (Arms)

Lola Pop

A young clown with arms that stretch? Does Nintendo know something that Capcom doesn’t know? Will Clown Man be framed by parental abandonment? The chronology coincides, but the subject does not advance beyond that. Regardless of its origin, Lola Pop convinces very well as an excellent fighter, which may indicate that her DNA is another.

Availability: 9/10 (with a new switch coming, the franchise can resurface)

Charisma with children: 10/10

10) Mario (Super Mario Odyssey)

Mario turns in 30

Mario was once a worker of construction, plumber, doctor, painter, firefighter… and clown. Our always smiling Mario represents the precariousness of the labor market, the man dick to the whole work, ox foot from Nintendo who finds his definitive expression here: the clown who responds when buttons are tight.

Availability: 11/10 (one day, Mario will steal his job)

Charisma with children: 11/10
