The US court blocked Trump’s decree on the abolition of the Ministry of Education, protecting thousands of jobs.
On Thursday, the US court blocked the decree of President Donald Trump, trying to cancel the Ministry of Education and ordered the re -adoption of the released employees. According to the AP report, TASR reports this.
The District Judge Myong Joun in Boston issued a preliminary court order to stop Trump’s plans for the cancellation of the Ministry. The White House chief has committed himself in the election campaign to end the functioning of this institution.
The action pointed out the damage
The court order was required by Somerville and Easthampton school districts, Massachusetts, the American Federation of Teachers and other educational groups. In the application, they stated that the dismissal contributed to the planned unlawful abolition of the Ministry of Education, which, as a result of the lack of staff, could not fulfill the obligations imposed by the Congress.
The indictment “portrayed the image of irreparable damage”, which manifests itself in various areas, and the dismissal to such an extent “is likely to cripple the ministry”, said the judge. He therefore ordered the re -adoption of the dismissed federal employees of the department.
The administration advocates redundancies
Trump’s administration claims that the aim of the dismissal is to streamline the ministry, not its closure. However, Trump called on the cancellation of the Office, although he acknowledged that this decision had to make a congress, the government said.
