The two victims left an event from the Jewish Museum in Washington when the perpetrator shot them shouting “free, free Palestine”. This was announced by the police after his arrest.
The two victims were leaving the museum when the 30 -year -old perpetrator approached a group of four people and opened fire, said Pamela Smith Metropolitan Police leader.
The perpetrator was seen walking outside the museum before the shots, entered the museum after the shootings and was detained by the safety of the event, Smith said.

Israeli ambassador to the UN, Danny Dannon, described the attack as a “heinous terrorist and anti -Semitic crime”.
“We are confident that US authorities will take strong action against those responsible for this criminal activity,” Danon said in a post. “Israel will continue to act decisively to protect citizens and representatives – anywhere in the world.”
Police, until late Wednesday night, had not announced details of possible motives for the attack.
Israel’s Ambassador says the deadly double shooting happened outside the Capital Jewish Museum where there was an event happening.
He says Israeli embassy employees were also injured.
