Ukrainian drones caused disinsals of Russian air defense and disruption of air transport in Moscow. Reportedly, a record number of attacking drones was shot down.
The Ukrainian army continues on Thursday’s drone attacks on Russian territory: Air defense during the night destroyed drones flying to Moscow and Tula and Novomoskovsk in the Tulian region in the center of the European part of Russia. In fear of possible clashes of aircraft with drones, the operation of Moscow airports Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Žukovsky, as well as at the Tambov airport, was repeatedly interrupted on Thursday night, the British BBC reported, TASR writes.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobianin said that 32 enemy drones flying towards Moscow were disposed of from Wednesday to early morning on Thursday.
The online aircraft tracking service Flightradar24 has found that many aircraft heading to Moscow – including the largest airport SHERMETIEVO – used detours or circled in the air after the launched circuits until they were allowed to land or a different instruction issued.
The alleged attacks of drone authorities in the Lipecka and Tulian areas in the European part of Russia on Wednesday also justified the unavailability of mobile internet services. Providing the Internet via fixed lines and Wi-Fi worked normally, added the governor of the Tulian region Dmitry Miľajev.
After the drone attacks at night on Wednesday, the Internet services were also unavailable in the Moscow region.
The Russian army said on Wednesday that her air defense was shot down in several regions, including the surroundings of Moscow at least 232 Ukrainian drones.
