This Thursday, at SIC Notícias, the former PSD minister analyzed the result of Sunday’s legislative elections. For Angelo Correia, the victory of the democratic alliance is clear but insufficient, which requires Luis Montenegro to negotiate to form government.
In tonight’s analysis, Angelo Correia admits that the arrival knew how to give voice to the “outraged” and attribute dignity to those who felt excluded. However, it argues that the best way to combat the arrival is to integrate it into the responsibilities of power so that it will face the consequences of governor.
Regarding possible negotiation partners, the former minister says he considers illusory to think that parties will abdicate his positions for “patriotism” and support the government of the democratic alliance. It points to the Socialist Party as the only viable partner for Montenegro, although it considers that the socialists still in the process of choosing leadership and internal reorganization.
Angelo Correia also underlines the need for PS to return to teamwork and move away from the “Leader Only” figure, referring to Pedro Nuno Santos’s loneliness during the campaign.
