Mainland Portugal and the archipelagos of Madeira and Azores are today and on the weekend at very high and high risk of exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UV), according to the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

In the Azores archipelago on Saturday, São Miguel will have high levels, Faial and Third High and Moderate Flowers.
On Sunday, the Azores archipelago is at very high risk, with the exception of high flowers.
For today and for the next few days temperature rise for the generality of mainland Portugal.
The ultraviolet radiation scale has five levels, between extreme and low risk.
For extreme regions, the IPMA recommends to avoid sun exposure as possible.
With regard to regions with very high risk, IPMA advises the use of Sunglasses with UV filter, hat, ‘t-shirt’, umbrella, sunscreen and avoid children’s exposure to the sun.
The IPMA recommends for high risk regions the use of UV sunglasses, hat, ‘t-shirt’ and sunscreen.
The Institute foresees for today and on the weekend on the continent cloudyweak wind and small climb of the maximum temperature in the North and Center regions.
As minimal temperatures will oscillate between 9 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) and 16 (in Faro and Setúbal) and the maximum between the 22 (in Aveiro) and the 31 (in Beja).
In the Madeira Archipelago, the forecast points to cloudy sky periods, weak swings in the north and highlands today and on Saturday and weak to moderate wind.
In Funchal the temperatures will vary between 19 and 25 and in the Holy Port between 18 and 23.
The IPMA predicts for the Azores archipelago for today and the weekend heaven usually very cloudy, periods of weak rain or rain and generally weak wind.
