But while Monday’s loaf tastes great that evening, it can be as hard on Wednesday. That is why it is worth knowing simple ways to keep pastries tasty and supple throughout the week.
Fresh pastries sounds like an ideal every day, but the reality is different. It is not always time or desire to run to the bakery in the morning, and not everyone wants to throw money for bread that hardens before it eats. At the same time, there is a simple trick to plan the purchase so that the pastry lasts tasty for a week – even without chemistry or complex products. Just know how to handle it properly.
On a video from CNN Prima you will see a bag from scientists from Liberec, which will last even a week of fresh for a week:
Try a cotton cloth
The most important thing is to know that bread and rolls do not age because they dry up. In fact, the structure of the starch is changed – it is “released” for a while, but gradually re -arranged, causing hardening. But this process can be significantly slowed down. If you wrap the pastry in a cotton cloth or a bag of natural material, you will protect it from losing moisture and mold. Paradoxically, the storage is completely inappropriate – paradoxically hardening will speed up.
“The cloth, bread and cool pantry understand with bread. Wrap the pastries in a clean cloth, canvas or linen bags and place in the pantry in the pantry.
A proven classic is a bread
It is ideal to have a bread in a special bread or a closable box with respiratory openings. However, if you know that you do not consider pastries in two days, make the ally out of the freezer. When you freeze the bread as soon as possible after the purchase, ideally sliced, it will last without harm for weeks. And the main charm? When you need, just remove the slice, let it thaw briefly or heat in the oven – and tastes like freshly baked.
With a little planning, you can buy on Monday and not lose freshness by Friday. In addition, you will avoid unnecessary waste and save not only money but also nerves in everyday pastry. Knowing how to keep the pastry is a little thing – but it can turn your whole weekly rhythm in the kitchen.
