Rose rust is caused by mushrooms, i.e. Phragmidium Tuberculatum and Phragmidium Mucoronatum. It develops most intensively in conditions of high humidity and a temperature of 18-21 degrees Celsius, especially during rainy summer. It can also occur with incorrect watering or by infection from neighboring plants.
How to recognize rose rust? This disease is quite easy to identify. At the beginning, on the bottom of the leaves and tails, we notice yellow -orange appendages with fungal spores. After 2 weeks, yellow, orange or red -brown spots will appear on the upper side of the leaves. In time, they can take a black color. The infected parts fall prematurely.

To prevent rust of rose, we should provide these plants with adequate growth conditions. We plant them fertile, slightly permeable soil with an indifferent or slightly acidic reaction. They must have a sunny and airy position, because in the shade and high density they will be more exposed to diseases.
