First Lady Janja Lula da Silva mocked, in an interview with the podcast of S.Paulo Folhathe custom of former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro of taking makeup artist on international trips. The reference was interpreted as a direct pin to Michelle Bolsonaro, which is usually accompanied by Uruguayan makeup artist Agustín Fernandez. He was present with Michelle at international events such as Donald Trump’s inauguration and Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
In the interview, Janja also commented on episodes in which his behavior generated negative repercussions. One of them occurred during the 2023, when she was criticized on social networks for speaking informally at the event.

“I can’t imagine having a political career. Everything I wrote for my husband in 580 days in prison – to have a life together, walk, know places – still dream of doing. When all this is over, I want to take my husband by the arm and go around with him,” he said.
