Lavender blooms poorly? All you need is 1 product from the kitchen to change it

In many gardens, this charming and fragrant plant, which is lavender, is grown. Sometimes, however, its flowering is not as abundant as we wanted. Then, in addition to taking care of the basic care aspects, you should prepare a homemade conditioner for which we need one ingredient from our kitchen. We suggest how to make your own fertilizer, which will stimulate lavender to flowering.

Lavender is a plant that can bloom beautifully when we take care of it properly. The basis is to provide her with a favorable position. This plant feels best in a sunny, warm and sheltered from strong wind.

In addition, lavender increases well in well -permeable, limestone or slightly stony soil. In turn, when it comes to Perfect pH for lavender, it should be located in the range of 6.5-7.5. Be sure to make sure that the land in which the plant grows is not too sour.

Let’s also remember about regular, but moderate lavender, because this plant prefers dry soil. So it’s best to feed it once a week, providing a small amount of water and doing it only when the Earth dries. In summer, it can be watered a little more often, but using small portions.

It is also important that lavender needs systematic pruning to prevent excessive woodening of its base and keep a nice habit of the plant. In spring, we remove damaged and frozen shoots so that lavender can branch. In turn, the second cut is carried out after flowering. Then we remove inflorescences with a fragment of the stem.

Sometimes, however, it is worth helping lavender so that it can bloom beautifully. For this purpose, it is worth performing fertilization. However, we must remember that lavender does not need as strong power as other flowering plants.

It is therefore a good way to use home fertilizer from time to time during the season. To prepare it, we will need 50 g of fresh yeast and 5 liters of hot water. We put the yeast into the bucket, pour water, mix everything and set aside for 1-2 hours.

After this time, our liquid fertilizer should be diluted. In this case, we use 1:10 proportions, i.e. 1 cup of fertilizer, mix with 10 liters of yeast. The resulting conditioner can be watered with lavender once every two weeks during flowering.
