The election scheduled for this Sunday (25) in the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) should, without surprises, confirm Samir Xaud as president. Roraima’s leader raised support from 25 of the 27 state federations, as well as 10 clubs (out of a total of 40); In practice, this made the launch of rival candidates unfeasible.

Xaud, 41, is a doctor and was, until last week, president -elect of the Roraimense Federation – the mandate would start in 2027, in succession to his father, Zeca. Samir responds to a process for misconduct when he was director of the Roraima General Hospital and even had the assets blocked by labor debts of a store of which he was a partner; He says the first action has been filed and that he is unaware of any labor process.

The virtual future president promises to give CBF transparency in a turbulent moment. Sunday’s election, the day before the presentation of the new men’s coach Carlo Ancelotti, was summoned after a new departure from Ednaldo Rodrigues. The now former president, involved in suspicions also revealed by Piauí magazine, denies irregularities and says he is a victim of persecution, for being black and northeastern.

Breakfast on Friday (23) speaks of the election to the presidency of the CBF and the disputes involving the entity. Journalist Allan de Abreu, reporter for Piauí magazine, tells how the Confederation is and discusses recent management problems. And the columnist of Sheet Juca Kfouri deals with recurring problems in football entities and analyzes how CBF rollers appear on the field.

The audio program is published in Spotify, partner streaming service Sheet In the initiative and that specializes in music, podcast and video. You can hear the episode by clicking above. To access the application, simply register for free.

Breakfast is published from Monday to Friday, always at the beginning of the day. The episode is presented by journalists Gabriela Mayer and Gustavo Simon, produced by Gustavo Luiz and Lucas Monteiro. The sound edition is by Thomé Granmann.
