Polish elections are approaching: Surveys show a tight difference between candidates

The tight duel between Nawrocki candidates and Trzaskowski before the second round of the elections indicates divided voter preferences and a high expected participation.

A candidate for a Polish president supported by the Conservative Party of Law and Justice (PIS) Karol Nawrocki would receive 47 percent of the voters’ voters in the second round of the Polish presidential election, while Rafal Trzaskowski from the government civic coalition 45 percent. This stems from a survey of Opinia24 for TVN TV, published on Thursday 22 May. This is informed by Warsaw newsletter TASR according to TVN.

In the second round, which will take place on 1 June, 62 percent of respondents would certainly participate, and another 18 percent are more of a participation. On the contrary, 12 percent declared that the ballot polls would not come, and eight percent of them said it would certainly not vote. Eight percent of respondents remain undecided.

Trzaskowski is losing ahead

In a previous survey, published shortly after the results of Exit Polls after the first round of the elections, Mayor of Warsaw Trzaskowski led 46 percent ahead of Nawrock, who had 44 percent.
