USA: Suspected of killing embassy employees does not claim to be guilty

The initial hearing of the case against Elias Rodriguez, accused of shots two employees of the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, USA, was completed on Thursday (22).

Rodriguez has not been guilty and will remain in prison waiting for future court hearings.

“This is a complex case, involving a large amount of evidence and a large number of witnesses” and an extensive scene of crime, prosecutor Jeff said to the judge.

The next case hearing is scheduled for June 18.

Remember the case

They were shot and killed in front of the Washington, DC, where the American Jewish Committee held an event.

The victims were a “young couple about to get a fiancé,” said Israel’s ambassador in the US.

The only suspect was identified as 31 -year -old Elias Rodriguez from Chicago, who was in custody, police said.

Witnesses said to CNN that he waited for the police to arrive before saying he “did it for Gaza.” Investigators expect Rodriguez to face a hate crime and other federal accusations, the sources say.

President Donald Trump, who talked to Israeli Prime Minister about the attack, said on social networks that anti-Semitism, “hatred and radicalism has no place in the US.”

Worlds condemned the murder while recalling the social impact caused by the victims.
