Anabela Castro and Nuno Pires sent a statement to announce their departure – but supposedly the statement would be only internal.
Two members of the National Political Commission of PAN elected by the current leader’s list, Inês de Sousa Real, fired, accusing the direction of disrespect for internal democracy, centralization of power and silencing critics.
The two members in question are Anabela Castro and Nuno Pireselected to the PAN National Political Commission – the highest management body between congresses – by list A, affects leader Inês de Sousa Real, and broadcast the decision through a statement sent on May 18, shortly before the closing of the Legislative Elections.
