The former health advisor of the Community of Madrid Antonio Burgueño Carbonell as investigated in the cause of residences, as the country has known by lawyers representing the associations of personally family. Burgueño must appear on Monday at 12.00 in the Courts of Plaza de Castilla, as well as two former positions of Isabel Díaz Ayuso executive. It is the first time in five years of judicial investigation that a judge cites as charged with responsible for the Community of Madrid.
Legal sources of the associations explain that by an error that Burgueño is also cited. The other two appearing are Carlos Mur and Javier Martínez Peromingo, both involved in the elaboration of the controversial protocols that restricted the hospitalizations of the elderly who lived in the residences, in March and April 2020. The relatives of the victims see these statements with hope because they trust that the fear of a conviction will lead them to a possible incrimination of President Ayuso or the former Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, who are responsible for deaths.
