A court in Paris condemned eight people on Friday (23) in connection with the bold robbery that targeted the entrepreneur and star of reality show Kim Kardashian, which occurred almost a decade.
During the armed robbery in October 2016, Kardashian was gagged, tied up with nailon handcuffs and had jewelry valued at millions of dollars stolen from a luxury residence rented during Paris fashion week.
Seven men and one woman were sentenced to penalties ranging from three to eight years in prison, although most judgments were suspended.

The judge responsible for the case, David de Pas, recognized the severity of the crimes, but considered the old age and the health problems of many of the defendants as factors that influenced the decision.
A ninth defendant was found guilty of acquiring and having weapons illegally, but was acquitted of involvement in theft. Another accused, Gary Madar, brother of the Kardashian driver at the time of the robbery, was innovated for lack of evidence.
The main suspects of the case, nicknamed “Grandpapers” by the media, are a gang of criminals aged 60 to 70, accused of one of the boldest celebrity thefts in the recent history of France.

Kardashian, who did not attend the sentence, had witnessed that he feared for his life during the theft, which led her to significantly increase her personal security and to reduce the amount of information she shares in real time on social networks.
In a statement, she expressed satisfaction with the verdict and thanked the French authorities for the search for justice.
“The crime was the most terrifying experience of my life, leaving a lasting impact on me and my family,” said Kardashian.

Most of the stolen jewelry, including a $ 4 million engagement ring, has not been recovered. The total amount of subtracted items was estimated at at least 8 million euros (about $ 9 million).
