Acetic cleaner
There are plenty of chemical products on the market that can (at least partially) decompose accumulated waste. But you can create the same “cleaner” from your own supplies. “Moreover, it is an ecological product that does not burden nature,” says the expert, revealing more. “The first reliable cleaner is table vinegar. All you need to do is pour 1 cup of white vinegar into the outflow and let it work for half an hour. It has a great feature to dissolve dirt, grease and possibly a limescale.”
Bet on baking soda
The edible soda, which is especially suitable for drains with a strong odor, has a similarly cleansing function. According to the expert, it is advisable to pour about ½ – 1 cup of baking soda (depending on the severity of the problem) and then let it operate for 15 minutes. You can multiply the effect of the cleansing when you “rub” the drain with a narrow brush on the bottles or an old toothbrush, a stick or a screwdriver. The point is to wipe off some narrow things the rest of the deposits on the tubes. Then just rinse the drain with hot water again and you should have a problem.
Double cleaning force
If you want a “fuse” that your pipes will be really well cleaned, combine the effects of both raw materials – vinegar and edible soda – which will speed up your pure sink efforts. “The procedure is simple: pour 1 cup of baking soda into the outflow and pour it with 1 cup of white vinegar. Do not worry if the mixture is a little fizz. After cleansing, it is sufficient to water the drain with 1 liter of hot water, or clean the bell for waste cleaning.
A perfect baking powder
Don’t have baking soda at home? Then simply replace it with a baking powder that contains this additive. “Just mix 4 tablespoons of baking powder with 100 ml of white vinegar,” says the plumber, who still recommends throwing a few tablespoons of kitchen salt, which will enhance the cleansing effect. After a compulsory “fifteen minutes”, the effects of natural cleansing are sufficient to rinse the drain again with hot water and you have it!
Simple prevention
So that the drain does not clog you often, try not to fly into it that can harm him. “These are mainly residues of fat or meals, which then create an impermeable plug in the tubes. And then it is often too late,” says the expert. According to him, it is also important that you use a drain sieve that captures at least part of the dirt (hair, crumbs), which can then be simply knocked into the trash. It is advisable to rinse the drains once a week with hot water, which will relieve at least the remains of soap or other lighter deposits. In case of less problems, you will also be used by the bell for waste cleaning.
