President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) reinforced this Saturday (24) that the provisional measure “gas for all”, which has been prepared by the federal government, will exempt the beneficiaries of the Single Registry (CadÚnico) to pay cooking gas. In an event in Campo Verde (MT), the chief executive stated that the proposal will reach 22 million people.

“Let’s make the gas cheap. People who are in CadÚnico will not even need to pay. They will be approximately 22 million families benefited and all this will be announced this month,” said Lula.

The source of the resources of the new program is uncertain. The Ministry of Mines and Energy argues that. Finance Minister Fernando Haddad says that initiative should be funded by the budget.

The new federal government program has been prepared since last year, but the launch has no date yet. The Secretary of Oil of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Pietro Mendes, signaled last Thursday (22) that the MP will be sent “soon” to the National Congress.

The “gas for all” will replace a good aid, currently. The current program passes, every two months, the full value of gas cylinder, calculated by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) to registered families.

The dates of the Gas aid transfers follow the Bolsa Familia calendar. The amount is released in a digital or banking account.

The Federal Government launched in Mato Grosso the Solo Vivo program, which has R $ 42.8 million in investments in the first stage. The initiative aims to recover areas of degraded soil, increase productivity, strengthen the competitiveness of family farming and reduce inequalities in rural production in the state.
