The Russian government launched an attack with drones and missiles against Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, during the night of Friday (23.MAI.2025). The offensive injured 15 people and damaged residential buildings, according to the International News Agency . President Volodymyr Zelensky said there are dead, but did not say a number.
In all, 250 drones and 14 missiles were employed, according to Ukraine. In addition to Kiev, the regions of Odessa, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Khakiv, Donetsk and Dnipro were also hit. Ukrainian forces perform emergency operations to remove fragments and disable explosives potentials.

Zelensky stated that the extension of war is the fault of Vladimir Putin’s government and that Russia “Ignored” the ceasefire proposal presented by Ukraine.
The Ukrainian President has again asked for new sanctions to Moscow to press for the end of the conflict, which has extended for 4 years. The government of Russia did not comment on the offensive.
“We are awaiting sanctions from the US, Europe and all our partners. Only additional sanctions against key sectors of the Russian economy will force Moscow to ceasefire”disse Zelensky.
