Hornets hate smoke, and therefore they will avoid not only lit fire, but also various braid repellent bars and cigars. However, these cannot always be used constantly.
Social media is also popular with a repellent spray. You can make it by mixing one teaspoon of essential oil from peppermint and the same amount of lemon grass oil or lemonella. A little detergent must also come to the mixture to mix the oils with the rest of the liquid. Just add half a teaspoon of any detergent to wash dishes. Fill the spray bottle with water and shake before application.
This spray is recommended to apply repeatedly around the outdoor seating, windows and entrance doors. Also in the corners of pergolas and terraces or places where the insects appeared in the past and had a nest.

How to prepare a trap that really works
Take advantage of what it attracts, and get rid of them with a simple trap. Remember, however, that the trap needs to be placed in a good place and also in the ideal container. It should be such that the hornet can comfortably climb into it, but can no longer fly. Although large PET bottles are also used, they seem to be a pint of bottles with a wider throat. The small space of the bottle is so tight that the insects cannot fly from there.
However, it is not only about the size and shape of the bottle, but also its ideal placement. Horry and wasps love ripened and rotten fruit, so it is downright down to place these bottles in trees. They should be at such a distance from your home or outdoor sitting so that you do not attract insects to your sitting unnecessarily.
In the trap to put and what to avoid
Another question is to put in such a bottle so that the hornet can catch. There are several recipes. You will need an empty plastic bottle for the trap. If it is small, only a pint, you do not have to edit it. Larger bottles, liter to two -liter, cut in two thirds and turn the throat down to the bottom. This will shorten the bottle and the insects will not be able to get out of such a trap.
Pour a sweet bait into the bottle. Beer with sugar, fruit syrup or diluted jam is used. The fluid at the bottom of the trap should have a depth of at least 10 cm.
Do not put honey or meat in the trap. Sometimes, for example, the liver and the like are recommended. The hornets do not smell and attract more insects.
Place the trap in the shade or hang the trees in the trees so that children or pets do not get to it.
If it happens, remember that you should never destroy the hornets, as well as the tool you possibly kill, you should not leave near your sitting. The hornet excretes pheromones that attract more.
Hornets are also extremely aggressive, especially if they feel threatened. Under no circumstances should you dispose of the nest yourself. You can consult not only with experts, but also with firefighters, for example.
