Tραμπ: «Δεν επιδιώκω συμφωνία με την ΕΕ» – Δασμός 25% και για τη Samsung

The US president is not seeking a trade agreement with the European Union, which will hit 50% from June 1st, as he announced earlier today.

Trump argues that the EU is “very slow” and that “if they build their factory (in the US), then they will have no duties at all.”

Speaking to reporters at the Oval Office, he also said he had no problem in the absence of a trade agreement.

“I’m not looking for an agreement. We have set the agreement, it is at 50%. But there is no duty if they build their factory here. “

At the same time, the US president said on Friday that the 25% duty that says it will impose on Apple would apply to both Samsung and other smartphones manufacturers.

The European Commission has refused to comment on Donald Trump’s proposal, saying he would wait until the telephone conference that trade commissioner Maros Shefkovic and US counterpart Jameson Gray at 18:00 will be in Greece.

After Trump’s statement ,.

The CAC 40 on the Paris Stock Exchange fell 1.65%, having previously lost more than 3%. Frankfurt closed 1.54%, Milan with 1.95%. The situation in London was better, with the FTSE100 losing only 0.24%, as the US and Britain drafted a bilateral trade agreement in early May.

The plan to transfer mobile phones to the US “is not realistic”, commented Wedbush analyst Daniel Abs, estimating that it will take 5-10 years to do so. And, if done, their price will be launched.

Apple owner Tim Cook had stated in early May that he expects that “most of the iPhones sold in the US during the current quarter would come from India and not from China.
