SAO PAULO, SP (UOL/FOLHAPRESS)-The US court blocked on Friday (23) the Trump government’s decision to prohibit foreign students.

According to the decision, international students can remain enrolled in school. The next hearing of the case will take place next week.

US District Judge Allison D. Burroughs granted the temporary restriction order. Earlier, the university announced that it called the Federal Court to try to reverse the ban.

Trump’s decision violates law and rights guaranteed by the first amendment of the US Constitution, says Harvard. In the request filed on Friday, the institution said it has the right to reject the demands that the government has made. According to the university, republican requests are intended to “control the governance, curriculum and ‘ideology’ of their teachers”.

The University’s request was that justice immediately blocked the order issued on Thursday (22). The US National Security Service order determined that the institution provides “all audio and video records and files involving dangerous, threatening or illegal activities of foreign students enrolled in the last five years.” In addition, another requirement for republican management was that Harvard would deliver all filming involving protests for the past five years at the Cambridge campus.
