Two entities went to court on Friday (23) to ask Bets to create, within 90 days, a mechanism that prevents those on websites.
The entities claim a court order for the Lula government to share within 15 days with the betting portals a database with CPFs from the beneficiaries of the Bolsa Familia program.
The petition stipulates that, in case of conviction, a fine of R $ 500 thousand is applied to the bookmakers – a major that will be reversed to assist vulnerable families.
The action is filed by Educafro and the Center for the Defense of Children and Adolescents Monica Paião Trevisan, which aim to defend vulnerable social groups and social rights. The targets are the union, the bets and the IBJR (institute that brings together most of the sites).
Lawyers write that, according to the program beneficiaries sent R $ 3 billion to companies. Today, Bolsa Familia serves almost 54 million families.
“These numbers are alarming and show the deviation of the purpose of public funds for the fight against hunger and poverty,” wrote lawyer Márlon Reis.
