On Saturday night (24), the MRV Arena received a very busy duel between Atletico-MG and Corinthians. Despite chances of goals and controversy, the match of the 10th round of the Brazilian Championship was tied 0-0.
The duel started warm, with Corinthians dominating actions with the ball and seeking to find spaces to attack the Rooster. The two teams exchanged passes, but did little in the attack.
The game began to warm after a harsh lack of Lyanco on top of Matheus Bidu, 25 minutes, who yielded the yellow to the defender. Shortly thereafter, Martínez gave beautiful release and left Talles Magno in the face of the goal, but the striker isolated the ball.
After 36 minutes, another direct bid with Lyanco who left the players of Timon angry: after losing the ball to Héctor Hernández, the Rooster defender stopped the attacker with his hand on his chest, but the referee had the bid to follow. The Rooster killed three good chances in a short time. First, Hulk took a free kick and the ball went over the goal, then Cacá almost did against it after Natanael’s cross and, finally, Gustavo Scarpa received in the area and hit hard, Masa the defender deflected for corner.
At a good time in the match, the Rooster pressed and followed in the attacking field, but with difficulty creating more chances. At 36, once again, Hulk charged dangerous foul.
Corinthians scared only 40 minutes again. After counterattack pulled by Romero, Yuri Alberto crossed and Matheus Bidu kicked cross, but the ball passed all over the world and left the side.
On 49 minutes, Rubens foul in Breno Bidon and was sent off. Despite this, Rafael Klein went to VAR and annulled the expulsion, changing the red card for the yellow.
