The project of New Civil Code It can open margin for the National Congress to discuss the regulation of a theme still considered taboo in society: euthanasia, also called assisted death.
The evaluation was made by the vice president of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), Minister Luis Felipe Salomão, CNN interviews.
The minister chaired the jurist commission that he discussed and elaborated the text, now in the hands of the Senate.
To defend the importance of Solomon says the project regulates issues ranging from birth, such as assisted reproduction, until after death, such as organ donation.

In the case of assisted death, the jurist commission opted for caution and did not foresee specific devices in this regard.
