Aromatic oils effectively deter pests, especially citrus oils. Therefore, grapefruit oil (or lemon oil) can be used, which will effectively force aphids, mosquitoes and ticks to leave the garden. In addition, natural spraying, based on this type of ingredients, do not have an unpleasant, chemical smell. On the contrary, they can leave a citrus fragrance, which often goes perfectly with the smell, even pink and can make your work in the yard.
In grapefruit we will find Nutkaton and D -imonen (the second ingredient is also in lemons), which are effective biocidal substances. Nutkaton was approved by the Federal American Environmental Protection Agency as a means that can be used in insecticides.
