A young man was caught throwing a puppy in a scrub in the Cabuçu neighborhood of Nova Iguaçu, Baixada Fluminense, on the night of last Wednesday (21). The animal’s body was found lifeless a few meters from the place.

The “Nos Claws of the Law” team, a social network page with volunteers who rescue animals victims of abuse, upon learning of the facts, called the police authorities. Despite the efforts of police and protectors, who searched veterinary clinics and the crime scene, the puppy was found dead.
In a video released on social networks, the man justified his attitude, claiming stress and that the animal had caused disorders in his residence. He denied having killed the dog, claiming that he only threw it into the bush and that the puppy would have been walking normally later.
He reported that the dog had been entering his house for about three days, causing a mess, tearing rugs and damaging a new couch. He mentioned having a newborn son and that the animal would have moved the baby’s things, including his diapers.
The young man said he did not find the dog owner and, after trying to release him on the street, the animal followed him back home. He reiterated that his “mistake” was to have thrown the dog in the bush and not just put it out as he had done earlier.
The animal’s body was sent to a clinic in St. Christopher to be cremated. The young man performed spontaneously at the 56th DP, accompanied by his lawyer and will respond to the police inquiry.
