At least 12 people have died and more than fifty have been injured during the early morning of this Sunday as a result of a large -scale attack by the Russian armed forces on the Ukrainian capital, kyiv, and other cities in the country, as reported by local and state authorities.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has found the launch of about 350 projectiles against the kyiv region, capital included, and seven other regions of the country, during a new wave of night attacks after which occurred on Saturday, one of the most intense in the conflict. Specifically, the Air Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Army have confirmed the demolition of 45 Russian cruise missiles and the neutralization of 266 of the 298 Russian drones launched against the country.

“Unfortunately, four people have died as a result of an enemy attack in the kyiv region tonight,” said the regional governor, Mikola Kalashnik, in a statement released through his official Telegram channel.

In the same publication, Kalashnik has specified that two people “were discovered while extinguishing a fire in the Obukhiv district” and another person died in the Buchanan area, without having transcended more information about fatal victims at the moment.

Although no fatalities or injured victims have been registered in other parts of the capital, this does not mean that Russian attacks have reached other areas such as Brovarski and Obukhivski. The authorities estimate for now at least eleven injured in the Ukrainian capital.

“In the place of the emergency, effective emergency service, research equipment and operations and medical equipment have been deployed,” added the governor, who pointed out that the air attacks continue and will provide “more detailed information later.”

For its part, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has notified the death of a 77 -year -old person in the Mikolaiv region, where at least five injured have also been counted, including a teenager. Among the injured, there are two women in serious condition.

Likewise, this crossing of attacks has taken place after the exchange of 307 prisoners for each of the parties in the second phase of the agreement reached by both parties for the delivery of a total of 2,000 people, after celebrating their first direct contacts in Turkey in more than three years.

Last Friday they already exchanged 390 prisoners-a total of 697 people from both sides who have been able to return to their homes-and this Sunday they have announced that they will proceed to the third exchange.
