Two people were injured in the Sunday fire of the house in Kysucká village Ochodnica. For TASR, this was confirmed by a representative of the spokesman of the Operational Center of the Emergency Medical Service (OS ZZS) of the Slovak Republic Richard Bolješik. According to him, a seventy -year -old woman suffered burns on 60 percent of the body – upper and lower limbs, head and chest. Air rescuers took her to the hospital in Košice.
“Land rescuers transported a 58-year-old man with burns to the University Hospital Martin to the anesthesiology-resuscitation department,” Bolješik added. Spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) in Žilina, Mária Pohankova Zahatlanova, told TASR that the result of the fire was caused by the owner of the family house direct material damage preliminarily estimated at EUR 20 000.
“After arriving at the scene of the event, one wounded person was outside the house. She was handed over to the emergency medical service after the initial treatment with burns. According to the information, another person was in the house.
Firefighters from Kysucké Nové Mesto, Čadca and Žilina with five pieces of technology intervened in autonomous respiratory apparatus and destroyed the fire with two high -pressure currents.
