The Swiss freeride community was hit by a tragic report. The young and hopeful snowboarder Eliot Dänzer lost his life on Mount Eiger. Only a 22-year-old athlete died last Saturday afternoon when he was hit by an avalanche. She pulled down seven other people with him. Two of them, including Dänzer, did not survive, he informs.
Eliot Dänzer was one of the greatest talents in the world’s freeride snowboarding. In 2019 he became a junior world champion in this adrenaline discipline. Recently It was just a step away from the prestigious freeride world tour – the highest competition in this sport.
