Asiago – The Mexican Isaac del Toro confidently claimed his lead at Giro d’Italia before the final week. The 15th stage of Fiume Veneto via the Monte Grappa to Asiago on Sunday the Spaniard won Carlos Verona. With his first Grand Tour success, the 32-year-old ensured the sixth day victory of the Lidl-Trek team from Mads Pedersen and Patrick Konrad, who had lost captain Giulio Ciccone the day before.
