Measure of the Superior Electoral Court covers the electorate who did not vote, did not justify or paid the fines regarding the absence in the last 3 elections
The deadline for avoiding the cancellation of the electoral title ended on May 19. More than 5 million voters and voters who have not normalized the situation in the Electoral Court will have their registration canceled. The measure is provided for in the Resolution of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and the provision of the Electoral General Corregedoria No. 1/2025.
In all, this year, the Electoral Court mapped more than 5.3 million people with cancellation titles because they did not vote, nor justified or paid the fines regarding the last 3 claims, including supplementary.
Electrishes and voters with cancellation registrations seeking the electoral registry from May 20 will be advised to request the regularization of their titles in the notary or electoral self -service, instructing the request with the necessary documentation for its assessment.
The cancellation will not be communicated individually, but the voter can verify that the title was canceled consulting his electoral situation on the TSE website. Anyone who has not paid their debts should do so, but the discharge will not prevent cancellation. It will be necessary, in addition to paying the debts, to request the regularization of the title.
