The president of Ukraine Volodimir Zelenski called on Sunday to press Russia and force her to stop attacks and conflict in Ukraine, after a new wave of night bombardments that left at least 12 dead throughout the country.
“Without a really strong pressure on Russian leaders, this brutality cannot stop. The sanctions will certainly help,” Zelenski said on social networks, asking the United States, European countries and “all those who seek peace” who show “determination” to take Russian president Vladimir Putin to “end the war.”
Ukraine suffered a new massive air attack early this Sunday, which left at least 12 dead, while in Moscow the Ukrainian drones caused the temporary closure of airports, hours before a last exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine.
Ukrainian emergency services described on Sunday a “horror night in the kyiv region”, in a message on Telegram. “The massive night attack has left four dead and 16 injured, including three children” in the region.
The Ukraine Air Force said Sunday that demolished 45 missiles and 266 Russian drones during this new wave of night bombing that affected “most of the regions” of the country.
