Dogs from 14 countries participate in canniculture exhibitions in lakes

The city of Lagos will be the stage again, on May 30 and 31, between 17:00 and 24:00, of important canine events of national and international dimension. The initiative, organized by the Portuguese Club Club in partnership with the Lagos City Council and the collaboration of Zoo de Lagos, will take place at the Municipal Stadium, with free admission.

The event is part of the 5th Algarve Canine Exhibition, the 34th Algarve International Canine Exhibition, the Specialized TECKELS Canine Exhibition, the Algarvio Barrocal Monograph Exhibition, the Portuguese Water Dog Monographic Exhibition and the 2nd Demonstration of Lure Courseing, where dogs are challenged to run long distances behind an object, standing out for their dynamics and spectacularity.

According to the municipality of Lagos, this is an opportunity for the public to contact a vast diversity of canine races, many of them rarely seen, in an environment of conviviality and discovery that combines competition, demonstrations, gastronomy and leisure moments for the whole family.

In addition to the Cinophilian component, the enclosure will feature a foodtruck space and an area designed for the conviviality between visitors, exhibitors and creators, reinforcing the family and inclusive character of the event.

In the previous edition, in 2024, the event brought together about 800 registrations distributed in the two days, with the presence of copies from 14 countries, including Spain, France, United Kingdom, Russia, Finland, Italy, Belgium, Canada, Sweden, Morocco and Germany. For this year, the organization expects equal or higher influx, confirming the growing status of the event in the national calendar of canniculture.
