A 53 -year -old man drowned after jumping into a channel to escape a bee attack. The case occurred last Saturday (24) in the rural area of the municipality of Russas, in the interior of Ceará.
The man was accompanied by friends in a fishing when the group was surprised by a swarm of bees. In an attempt to escape the bites, he threw himself into the water, but did not return to the surface.
Friends started the first searches, but the victim’s body was only found after the arrival of fire brigade divers.
The Military Police were at the scene. Man’s personal effects, such as sandals and fishing materials, were found on the banks of the canal. The case will be investigated to clarify the circumstances of death.
