The Federal Investigation Agents (FBI) arrested 28-year-old Joseph Neumeyer on Sunday at New York Airport after the Israeli authorities deported him to the US.

Planned attack and arrest

According to the New York Federal Prosecutor’s Office, Neumeyer traveled to Israel, where he came with a backpack to the Embassy branch in Tel Aviv, but he got into confrontation with a security service member whom he spilled and then escaped. He left the backpack in which three flammable bottles were found on the spot. The police then tracked Neumeyer in the hotel located near the branch of the embassy and arrested it.

According to the FBI, the suspect posted links on social networks on social networks as “Join me when I set fire to the Embassy in Tel Aviv” or “Death America”. Reportedly, he was also threatened with death by US President Donald Trump. During his first term of office, despite the objections of the Palestinians, he recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and Tel Aviva moved the US Embassy there.

The judge decides on custody

Neumeyer, coming from Colorado, on Sunday they showed before a judge in New York, who sent him into custody. If he is guilty, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $ 250,000.
