The actor commented on the best actor for the festival of For his work in the film The Secret Agent this Saturday (24) in a video released on the Instagram profile of the press office of the feature. Earlier, Mendonça had put the actor to send a brief message to journalists, via call, during a press conference. In his video, Wagner Moura spoke more details about how he received the news from his award and gave more details about the fact.

“Now it’s almost 10 pm here in London. I had an absolutely crazy day, because I spent the day filming, I didn’t stay in Cannes because I had to film. I’m making a movie here in London.
I received the news of the awards we won as crazy as possible, in the filming set. I just wanted to say the happiness I have for me, for Kleber, for the secret agent, for Brazilian cinema, for Brazilian culture.
Because this movie is another piece that brings the Brazilian viewer closer, Brazilians in general of their culture, their artists, after a very difficult time when artists and culture had not only lost their importance in Brazil but were quite defamed.
Having today Brazilians looking at Brazilian cinema and saying ‘this movie, these artists, represent us’, as it has happened to I’m still here, gives me a deep joy. So live the Brazilian culture, live those who believe in the importance of culture for the development of any country.
And Brazil is the country of culture, the country of art. Long live Brazil, live the Brazilians. And we will now celebrate, enjoy this beautiful moment of our culture, our cinema. A big kiss. ”
