Australian actress Clare McCann announced this weekend that she is trying to raise 300,000 Canadian dollars (about $ 1.1 million) in seven days to perform the cryogenic preservation of her 13 -year -old son’s body, who had early death after suffering months of bullying.
In social networking publications and in an interview with Portal News.com.au, McCann stated that the goal is to fulfill an old desire for his son, who dreamed of the possibility of being revived in the future. “All I really need to say is how much I need these funds to give my son what he wanted,” McCann told News.com.au.
The actress created an online campaign and explained that the funds raised would be intended for the immediate preservation of CO RPO, medical and legal services, and the creation of a fund in the name of Actreyu. Until the moment of publication, the amount collected totaled just over 7,000 Canadian dollars, the equivalent of less than $ 27,000.

McCann stated that Atreyu began to be bullied on the first day of high school, after years of home education. The actress reported that she made several formal complaints to the South Sydney High School School, the Department of Education and Children’s Services, with no effective response. “He was only 13 years old. He deserved a future,” he said.
The New South Wales Education Department issued a note regretting what happened and said it is providing psychological support to students and staff. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Education, Prue Car, classified the case as “a tragic loss”.
