The Algarve Tourism Region (RTA) reinforces the promotion of the diversity of destination with a confirmed presence in two strategic events: “Let’s Vila”, in Monchique, and “Marina de Vilamoura International Boat Show”. Both initiatives are part of the commemorative program “55 years, 55 events”, which celebrates the 55th anniversary of RTA with activities in all municipalities in the region.
From May 30th to June 1st, Monchique hosts “Let’s Go to the Village”, a celebration of culture and mountainous traditions. This event transforms the historic center of the village into a party stage and sharing, especially the local cuisine, the traditional crafts and the authenticity of the mountains. The RTA is present to value interior tourism, promoting contact with nature and genuine experiences as differentiating elements of destination.

From June 7 to 15, it will be Vilamoura’s turn shine with the 28th edition of “Marina de Vilamoura International Boat Show”, a free entry event that brings together more than 100 new and semi -new vessels, as well as exhibitors of accessories, equipment and services related to the nautical sector. The participation of RTA reinforces the Algarve as an international reference in nautical tourism, with infrastructure of excellence and a premium offer.
Both events are part of the “55th anniversary, 55 events” calendar, which extends until September 27 – World Tourism Day – and includes cultural, sports, enogastronomic and conference actions, reflecting the plurality of the region’s tourist supply.
For André Gomes, president of the Algarve Tourism, these participations are of strategic importance: “Our presence in Vila to Vila and Marina de Vilamoura Boat Show reinforces the entity’s commitment to promote the exceptional diversity of our destination. From Monchique’s unique cultural and natural heritage to luxury nautical experiences in Vilamoura, the Algarve continues to assert itself as an incomparable destination. Years, 55 events demonstrate our dynamism and the continuous ability to innovate and attract national and international visitors. ”
The presence of these events aims to attract diverse audiences and reinforce the image of the Algarve as a complete tourist destination, with memorable experiences available throughout the year.
