New coach of the Brazilian team, Carlo Ancelotti revealed that he has had problems with a Brazilian player during his career.

“The Brazilian has a good character, in my opinion. The Brazilian player, in general, has a higher technical level than the others. From the personal aspect, the Brazilian is a person who has a quiet, humble character, most. I trained 34. If I think of a problem with someone, I have not one.

Although he did not reveal the name, netizens recalled a case involving and Rivaldo in Milan.

Elected the best player in the world in 1999, Barcelona idol and five -time world champion with the Brazilian team, Rivaldo arrived at Milan a month after the 2002 World Cup.

Alongside names like in this, Maldini, Seedorf, Pirlo and Shevchenko, Rivaldo won three titles for Milan, including Champions League, but never established himself as a starter and left with only 18 months of club.

The Milan coach at the time was, who had difficulty fitting Rivaldo to his team. The two even argued because the Brazilian did not accept to be in the bench in a match of the Italian Championship.

This story is told by Ancelotti himself in the book “Quiet Leadership”. In it, the Italian coach recalls that, before a game against Modena-ITA in September 2002, he called Rruy to say he would be on the bench the first time it was related.

The Brazilian did not like and replied. “Rivaldo never stayed in the bank,” said the Brazilian at the time.

Ancelotti tried to improve the situation, explaining to shirt 11 that he had not made a complete preseason, but assured that he would be starter in the next match, which would be three days later. Still, Rivaldo remained upset, leaving the concentration.

At the end of the story, the Brazilian ended up accepting Ancelotti’s decision and was reserved in that match. He entered the second half and played 22 minutes in Milan’s 3-0 win.

Rivaldo was reserved on other occasions at Milan, including the 2003 Champions League final against Juventus. He ended up terminating contract in January 2004 and closed with Cruzeiro.
