Minister declares that inquiry about Eduardo Bolsonaro reaffirms national sovereignty; Investigation investigates the performance of the deputy in the USA
The Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann, defended on Tuesday (27.MAI.2025) the (Supreme Federal Court) to investigate the actions of the deputy (PL-SP) in the United States.
In a publication in the X, the former president of the PT stated that the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) and the Supreme Court are proving that Brazil is a sovereign country, “where citizens submit to laws rather than threats and pressures from abroad. ”
Gleisi recalled that the PGR’s request takes place in response to a criminal representation filed by the PT leader in the House, (RJ).
The complaint speaks of the Bolsonaro family attempts to pressure Brazilian authorities with international support, especially regarding the progress of criminal actions against the former president (PL) and allies accused of involvement in an attempted coup.
“Spreading lies against Minister Alexandre de Moraes [do STF] and against Brazil, they passed all the limits and entered the criminal field ”, declared the minister. “Dictatorship was what they wanted to implement with their failed scam attempt, ” completed.
The inquiry was opened on Monday (26.mai) by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, following a request from PGR. In the decision, Moraes ordered the Federal Police to monitor the content posted on the deputy’s social networks and call, within 10 days, the congressman and his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro, to provide clarification.
