It released them on Monday (26) a note in which they criticize the decision of the Minister of Social Security, of.
The measure was justified as a way of protecting the image of the council, in the midst, which made discounts from associates.
The note is signed by six -central leaders: CUT (Single Workers ‘Central), Força Sindical, UGT (General Union of Workers), CTB (Brazilian Workers Center, NCST (New Workers’ Union Central) and CSB (Brazilian Union Center).
In the document, the entities say they were surprised last Friday (23), with the “unacceptable” decision of the minister to suspend, “without any formal justification,” the counselors appointed by the centrals and unions.
The centrals call the authoritarian, undemocratic and illegitimate measure and says that it was taken to the default of workers’ representative entities and “without the minimum institutional respect.”
“There was no formal notification, publication of normative act or exposure of motives. The ministry merely communicated by telephone the decision-a gesture of contempt for the legitimate representations of the working class.”
The note says that the participation of active workers and retirees at CNPS is an achievement of the 1988 Constitution and states that the “attempt to silence these voices represents a direct attack on democracy and social rights.”
“We will not accept that serious and combative entities are treated as facade organizations,” they add. “True fraud must be investigated and punished with rigor – but it is inadmissible that, under this pretext, the entire union movement of retirees and workers to be criminalized.”
According to Centrals, if it does not review its decision, the minister would be breaking with the democratic pact, violating constitutional rights and compromising the legitimacy of CNPS as a plural space for the construction of social security policies.
