Discovered over a hundred ruins of the enigmatic “cloud people”

The Inca called them “cloud people”, where they came from, is unclear: among the numerous precolumbic Andean cultures, the Chachapoya are certainly among the most puzzling peoples. The largest of this culture to date is the Kuélap fortress in the northern Peruvian Andes above the river valley of the Río Utcubamba.
