Four days, two lovers and an iconic car: one Mazda MX-5 in 1991. This is the starting point of an adventure of 2,000 kilometers between Paris and Olhão in southern Portugal. More than a simple road trip, it is the symbolic launch of an innovative project: the creation of a new offer of luxury and ecological tourist rallies based on the Algarve.
Franck and Stephane, the initiative’s mentors, leave this Wednesday from the French capital to the wheel of their unconnectable classic, on a discovery trip that unites the passion for the car at desire to promote more authentic, elegant and responsible tourism. The arrival is scheduled for Olhão, future headquarters of the operation, in the heart of the Algarve, between Ria, the Serra and the Atlantic.
“This trip is a statement of intent: our project is based on authenticity, pleasure to drive and richness in Portuguese territory. We want to offer car enthusiasts a unique tourist experience outside the usual paths,” says Franck and Stephane.
Road Trip, planned to last three days, will be shared in real time on the founders’ social networks, with photographs, videos and travel chronicles. The goal is to inspire other travelers, create a community of classic car lovers and make known a new form of car tourism – more humane, more conscious and with positive local impact.
With an operational base in Olhão, Futura will make available stays for 1 to 7 days, “in sports or classic cars. Charm, local cuisine, carefully planned itineraries: every detail will be designed to offer an immersive, elegant and responsible experience,” explain Franck and Stephane.
All thought to the detail to provide an immersive and sustainable experience in southern Portugal, reinforcing the position of the Algarve as a premium destination for four -wheel lovers.
