Win or problem?
So what does it mean? Is ivy in the garden more win, or rather a problem to solve? Of course, it is about what place it grows, whether it fulfills any of the advantageous functions, or just obstructs and harms. If your garden is to have a more natural and wild shock, calmly define its territory (but consistently and regularly check it) and let it do as nice to him. But if you long for a modern groomed garden with Green like for golf cups, get rid of ivy, otherwise you will not achieve your goal.
The fight is not easy
When you choose the land without this plant, prepare for a relatively complex task. Especially older plants will intend to cover the whole land with nails – or rather leaves and roots. Anyway, it will be necessary to remove not only shoots, but also roots, otherwise the ivy would appear again in a few days. In particularly overgrown places, it will probably be necessary to use herbicides, but with the greatest caution to avoid damage to other plants.
So can we clearly say whether the ivy in the garden is a good helper or a pest? Actually not, it always depends on the specific place, the character of the garden and the intentions of its owner.
