The Federal Attorney’s Office for Citizen Rights (PFDC), held on Monday (26), a meeting with the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), the Union Attorney General (AGU) and the Federal Public Defender’s Office (DPU) to advance the discussion of an agreement to ensure the reimbursement of illegal discounted values of social security benefits. In a press release, the Federal Attorney for Citizen Rights, Nicolao Dino, said the goal is to find an effective and satisfactory solution for retirees and pensioners affected by improper discounts. He stressed that there is an urgent search for results that benefit the impaired. “The MPF works in permanent articulation, seeking, on the one hand, the reimbursement and, on the other hand, the responsibility for those who committed these acts,” he said. The authorities present at the meeting agreed on the importance of convergence between institutions to ensure a rapid response to beneficiaries. All pointed to the need for collective effort and an articulation between the organs to avoid the delay in answers.
