The “golden dome” that Mr Trump wants, on the basis of what he said at least, will be a comprehensive system of defense against a huge range of hostile weapons – intercontinental ballistic missiles, ultrasound rockets, cruise rockets, passing through the drones. The idea obviously draws inspiration from the Israeli “iron dome” system, which is nevertheless designed to protect the country from attacks with weapons that have a short range of rockets, rockets, drones -not intercourse.
