The Civil Police of the State of Mato Grosso carried out, on Tuesday (27), a national operation against serious cyber crimes committed against children and adolescents. The action was coordinated by the Cyber Operations Laboratory of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) and occurred simultaneously in 12 states.
The diligence was attended by the Civil Police of Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Piauí, Rio Grande do Sul, Sergipe and Sao Paulo. 22 court orders are being served, being search and seizure, temporary arrest and socio -educational hospitalization.
The actions are concentrated in the following municipalities:

- Serra (s)
- Sete Lagoas and Caeté (MG)
- Sinop and Rondonópolis (MT)
- Aquidauana (MS)
- Marabá, Barcarena, Canaã dos Carajás and Ananindeua (PA)

- Lajeado (RS)
- São Domingos (SE)
- Sao Paulo, Guarulhos, Porto Feliz, Itu, Santa Isabel and Altair (SP)
In the state of Mato Grosso, three court orders are being fulfilled: a search warrant and seizure warrant against a 16 -year -old in Sinop and two search warrants, seizure and provisional hospitalization against a 15 -year -old teenager in Rondonópolis, named the leader of the group.
The teenager, appointed as a leader, had already been the target of the first phase of the operation, held in August 2024. In addition, he was investigated in another police action in April this year, aimed at combating the use of digital platforms to encourage self -mutilation.
According to the Civil Police, a network of people were identified, with the participation of adolescents who committed crimes such as induction, instigation to self -mutilation and suicide, persecution, threats, production, storage and sharing of child pornography, nazism apology and invasion of computerized systems, including unauthorized access to public data banks.
Crimes occurred on digital platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Discord. By these means, the suspects disclosed extreme violence content, stimulated self -destructive behaviors, performed psychological coercion, threats and public exposure of victims – mostly minors.
Investigated can be responsible for the following crimes:
- Induction, instigation or assistance to self -harm and suicide (art. 122 of the Penal Code) – penalty of 2 to 6 years, and may be doubled if the victim is a child or adolescent
- Persecution (Stalking) (art. 147-A of the Penal Code)-penalty of 6 months to 2 years, increased if against children or adolescents
- Threat (art. 147 of the Penal Code) – penalty of 1 to 6 months or a fine.
- Threat (art. 147 of the Penal Code) – penalty of 1 to 6 months or a fine.
- Apology to Nazism (art. 20, §1, of Law 7.716/89) – penalty of 2 to 5 years
In addition to the fines, the added feathers can total 20 years of imprisonment.
